Our Story
Hildie & Jo® was founded in 2015 by sisters Hildie Smith and Joanna Johnson. As young girls, Hildie and Jo spent countless hours crafting jewelry, hair accessories, and decorative pieces using beads purchased at local craft stores. As they grew up, their passion for beading never faded – if anything, it only grew stronger. After both starting families of their own, the sisters realized they wanted to turn their shared love of beads and charms into a business. With Hildie’s entrepreneurial spirit and Jo’s keen eye for product design, Hildie & Jo® Beads was born.
From humble beginnings selling at local flea markets and craft fairs, Hildie & Jo® has blossomed into a thriving online business. We now offer an extensive catalog of beads, charms, jewelry components, and craft embellishments. Over the years, we’ve expanded our inventory to include Czech glass beads, natural stones, pearls, spacers, jewelry wire, clasps, stringing materials, and much more.
